400 years old Aaanni Temple and Choto Gobindo Temple in Puthiya, Rajshahi, Bangladesh
Aanni temple (left) is a 400 years old temple in Puthiya, Rajshahi. Right one is the Choto Gobindo temple, also 400 years old. Right now there is not God inside the temple, but the only ruined temples remaining. Bangladesh Department of Archeology is now taking care of the archeological heritage.
These two moth or spire type temples are located near the abundant swimming pool of TSC, Dhaka University. They have beautiful stucco decoration on their walls. According to the architectural characteristics, these temples are similar to those common types of temples built from the 19th century and appear to have been inspired by the spires of the European churches initiated in the Gothic Cathedrals. This place is currently not permitted to entry.
